Pace University

Pace University is a private, independent institution of higher learning in New York state. Its three campuses are in New York City, Pleasantville, and White Plains. Two brothers, Homer and Charles Pace, established Pace Institute in 1906 as a business school where men and women could study accounting. The institute became Pace College in 1942 and then Pace University in 1973. Pace has a large Cooperative Education Program that helps students gain work experience in their fields of study before graduation. The university’s athletic teams are called the Setters.
