Dhoti is a traditional Indian garment that is still worn by many men in India. It is made of a piece of white cloth that is either wrapped around the waist and between the legs or worn like a skirt. It is worn in the north in the Indian states of Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and West Bengal, as well as in parts of southern India. The dhoti has no religious or caste significance. But, as a rule, Muslims tend not to wear it.
