Dudley

Dudley (pop. 323,488) is a local government area in the West Midlands of England. It includes the towns of Dudley, Halesowen, and Stourbridge. Dudley is a center of metal industries. Other products include boilers, bricks, chemicals, clothing, computers, glassware, leather goods, printing, and tiles. Dudley became important in the 1700’s and 1800’s after large deposits of coal, iron ore, limestone, and clay were discovered nearby.
