Glen More, sometimes called the Great Glen or the Great Glen of Alban, is a valley in the Highlands of Scotland. It extends for about 60 miles (97 kilometers) northeast from Fort William to Inverness. Glen More separates the Northwest Highlands from the Grampian Mountains. A series of lochs (lakes)—Loch Linnhe, Loch Lochy, Loch Oich, and Loch Ness—lie in the glen. They are joined by the Caledonian Canal. See also Caledonian Canal .
