Gregory, Jack (1895-1973), was a great Australian cricketer. He scored 1,146 runs in 24 Test matches and took 85 wickets for about 31 runs each. His highest score in a Test match was 119 runs against South Africa in 1928. His best bowling was 7 wickets for 69 runs against England in 1921.
Jack Morrison Gregory was born in North Sydney, Australia, on Aug. 14, 1895. He made his Test debut against England in 1920-1921 and made his final Test appearance in 1928-1929 against England. Gregory died on Aug. 7, 1973.
