Hoop pine, also called colonial pine or Moreton Bay pine, is among the largest of the few species of Australian pines, reaching up to 200 feet (60 meters). Hoop pines grow on the south coast of Queensland and the north coast of New South Wales. These pines are used for woodwork, furniture, flooring, shelving, plywoods, and veneers.
