Namoi River is a river in northern New South Wales, Australia. It is 525 miles (845 kilometers) long from its source, near Armidale, to where it flows into the Darling River. Its early course is known as the Macdonald. The 180-foot (55-meter) Keepit Dam is on the Namoi. The water from its reservoir irrigates the Namoi Valley, where farmers grow wheat, rice, and cotton. The towns of Manilla, Gunnedah, Narrabri, and Wee Waa stand on the banks of the Namoi River.
