Neoptolemus, in Greek mythology, was a Greek warrior during the Trojan War. He was also called Pyrrhus. His father was the Greek hero Achilles. After Achilles died in the war, Neoptolemus joined the Greek army during the final year of the war. He fought bravely and helped the Greeks capture Troy. However, he offended the gods by mercilessly killing Priam, the aged Trojan king, at an altar.
