Nore, River

Nore, River, is a river in the Republic of Ireland. It rises in Devilsbit range, in County Tipperary, and flows southeastward 87 miles (140 kilometers) through counties Laois and Kilkenny. It is joined by the rivers Barrow and Suir before reaching the sea at Waterford Harbour. The river’s name in Irish is An Fheoir. The Nore is known for its excellent salmon and trout fishing.
