Sunshine Coast, in Australia, is a region of 1,200 square miles (3,100 square kilometers) that includes the shires of Landsborough, Maroochy, and Noosa, in southeastern Queensland. It stretches from Beerburrum in the south to Pomona in the north and to the town of Kenilworth in the west. The main center of commerce is Nambour. The Sunshine Coast has rich sugar cane fields and pineapple plantations.
