Fitchburg State University

Fitchburg State University is a public, state-supported institution of higher learning in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. It was established as State Normal School in 1894 and renamed State Teachers College at Fitchburg in 1932. In 1960, the college broadened its curriculum and shortened its name to State College at Fitchburg. It became Fitchburg State College in 1965 and Fitchburg State University in 2010.
