Friends University is a private institution of higher learning. The school’s main campus is in Wichita, Kansas. There are additional campuses at Lenexa and Topeka. Friends University also offers programs at outreach locations around the state.
The Religious Society of Friends, also known as the Quakers, founded Friends University in 1898. Since the 1930’s, an independent board of trustees has run the university, but the school maintains an informal relationship with the Quakers. The university’s athletic teams are called the Falcons.
