Gardner-Webb University is a private, church-supported institution of higher learning in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. The university traces its origin to 1905, when two Baptist associations founded Boiling Springs High School. The institution became a junior college in 1928. Today, the university is affiliated with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.
