Griffith University

Griffith University is a state-controlled institution of higher education in Queensland, Australia. Griffith University was founded in 1971. It is named in honor of Samuel Walker Griffith, a former Queensland premier and the first chief justice of Australia.

Griffith University has five campuses in the Brisbane-Logan-Gold Coast area. It offers a range of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and encourages its students to be interdisciplinary in their choice of subjects. The university built a strong reputation for establishing new areas of study, such as environmental and biomedical science, information technology, modern Asian studies, and visual and creative arts.

The university is affiliated with the Queensland College of Art, the oldest art institution in Australia, and the Queensland Conservatorium, the largest music school in the country.
