Coca-Cola Company

Coca-Cola Company is the world’s largest producer of beverages. The company manufactures syrups and concentrates for the soft drink Coca-Cola, also known as Coke. The red-and-white script “Coca-Cola” logo is among the most widely recognized corporate trademarks in the world. The company also owns hundreds of other brands of soft drinks, juices, bottled waters, sports and energy drinks, and other beverages.

John Stith Pemberton, an Atlanta pharmacist, invented Coca-Cola in 1886. He formed the Coca-Cola Company to produce the drink. Asa G. Candler, an Atlanta businessman, acquired the company in 1891. Under Candler, the company expanded quickly. Within four years, Coca-Cola was available throughout the United States. Today, the company has operations in nearly all countries.

The Coca-Cola Company is based in Atlanta. Its soft drink brands include Barq’s, Fanta, Pibb Xtra, and Sprite. Its other beverages include Minute Maid juices and juice drinks, Dasani water, and Powerade sports drinks.
