Hawaii Pacific University is a private, independent institution of higher learning on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. It is the largest private university in the state. Founded in 1965, the university has two main campuses: one in downtown Honolulu and a residential campus in the town of Kaneohe. It also has seven satellite campuses that serve military personnel and their children. The university’s athletic teams are called the Sea Warriors.
