Immaculata University is a Roman Catholic institution of higher learning in Immaculata, Pennsylvania. The Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, a Roman Catholic religious order for women, founded it in 1920 as a women’s college. Its original name was Villa Maria College, but it was renamed Immaculata College in 1929. It became Immaculata University in 2002. Immaculata’s athletic teams are called the Mighty Macs.
