La Trobe University is an institution of higher education in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The university was established through an act of Victoria’s legislature in 1964, and the first students were admitted in 1967.
The main campus of the university is in Bundoora, in metropolitan Melbourne, approximately 10 miles (16 kilometers) from the central business district. A network of regional campuses extends across the state of Victoria, from Mildura in the far west, through Bendigo, Shepparton, Beechworth, and Albury/Wodonga, to Mount Buller in the Victorian Alps.
