Jacksonville was an expansion team that began play in 1995. The Jaguars made the playoffs for the first time in 1996. The team won their first division championship in 1998. Jacksonville advanced to the playoffs in four of the team’s first five seasons. Since 2000, the Jaguars have advanced to the playoffs only four times.
