Kaká, << kah KAH >> (1982-…), was an exciting Brazilian soccer star. Soccer is called football in many countries. Kaká made his international debut with the Brazilian national team in 2002 and played on the team that won the FIFA World Cup that year. FIFA stands for Fédération Internationale de Football Association (International Federation of Association Football). FIFA is soccer’s world governing body. Kaká was named Brazilian Player of the Year in 2002 and World Player of the Year for 2007.
Kaká began his career with São Paulo in Brazil in 2001. He played for that team for three seasons and then moved to AC Milan in Italy beginning with the 2003-2004 season. Kaká helped lead Milan to the Champions League Cup in 2007. He played with Real Madrid from 2009 to 2013, when he returned to play with AC Milan. Kaká was released by Milan in 2014. He signed that year with Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States . SC stands for Soccer Club. Kaká retired from soccer in 2017.
Kaká was born on April 22, 1982, in Brasília and grew up in São Paulo. His real name is Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite. His brother Rodrigo, who could not pronounce “Ricardo” when he was little, gave him the nickname Kaká.
