Florida Panthers are a professional hockey team that plays in the National Hockey League (NHL). The team competes in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. The Panthers play in the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, near Fort Lauderdale.
The Panthers entered the NHL as an expansion team for the 1993-1994 season. In their third season, the Panthers reached the Stanley Cup finals, losing to the Colorado Avalanche in 1996. In 2023, the Panthers again reached the Stanley Cup finals, but lost to the Vegas Golden Knights. The Panthers won the Stanley Cup in 2024, defeating the Edmonton Oilers, 4 games to 3.
