Holman, Brett

Holman, Brett (1984-…), was an Australian professional soccer player. Soccer is called football in much of the world. Holman played for the Australian national team, commonly known as the Socceroos, from 2006 to 2013. A forward and midfielder, Holman was known for his ball-handling skills and scoring ability. Brett Trevor Holman was born on March 27, 1984, in Bankstown, New South Wales . He began playing soccer as a youth. Holman left school in 2000 to sign a contract with the Parramatta Power SC, a soccer team near Sydney. SC stands for soccer club. In 2002, Holman began playing for Feyenoord in Rotterdam , in the Netherlands . In the Netherlands, he also played for Excelsior, Nijmegen Eendracht Combinatie (N.E.C), and Alkmaar Zaanstreek, also known as AZ Alkmaar or simply AZ. In 2012, Holman transferred to Aston Villa FC in Witton, Birmingham , England . FC stands for football club. In 2013, Holman signed with Al-Nasr SC in Dubai , in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In 2015, he moved to the UAE’s Emirates Club before returning to play in Australia for Brisbane Roar FC in 2016. Holman played with Brisbane through 2018.

Holman scored twice for the Socceroos in the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa .
