Dhani, Ahmad, << DAHN ee, AH mahd >> (1972 -…), is an Indonesian rock singer, musician, songwriter, arranger, producer, and promoter. He is one of the most influential musicians in Southeast Asia. Dhani was the leader of the bands Dewa 19 and Ahmad Band and a member of the intercontinental band The Rock. He has won a number of awards for his music. Dhani has been a judge on the television singing competition shows “Indonesian Idol” and “X Factor Indonesia.”
Dhani Ahmad Prasetyo was born on May 26, 1972, in Surabaya, on the island of Java. He began playing keyboard instruments as a child. From 1996 to 2008, Dhani was married to the Indonesian songwriter, singer, dancer, music producer, and actress Maia Estianty. His brother, Dadang S. Manaf, is also a well-known Indonesian musician.
