The USL Pro, later renamed the United Soccer League (USL), was a third-tier professional league below MLS and the North American Soccer League. The Lions played their first MLS season in 2015. The club finished seventh in the Eastern Conference and missed the MLS Cup Playoffs. The team’s roster included veteran Brazilian star midfielder Kaká .
