Kushner, Jared (1981-…), is an American businessman. He is the husband of Ivanka Trump, a daughter of former United States President Donald J. Trump. Kushner served as a senior adviser to President Trump from 2017 to 2021.
Jared Corey Kushner was born in Livingston, New Jersey, on Jan. 10, 1981. His father is Charles Kushner, a real estate developer. In 2003, Jared Kushner received a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University. In 2007, he received a master’s degree in business administration and a law degree from New York University. In 2009, Kushner married Ivanka Trump. The couple have three children.
In 2005, Charles Kushner received a two-year prison sentence for tax evasion, witness tampering, and other charges. Jared oversaw Kushner Companies, the family business, while his father was in prison. In 2006, Jared purchased the New York Observer weekly newspaper and became its publisher. He took the position of chief executive officer of Kushner Companies in 2008. In 2016, Kushner became an adviser to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. As an adviser to the president, Kushner focused on relations among countries in the Middle East. His book, Breaking History: A White House Memoir, was published in 2022.
