Trump, Ivanka (1981-…), is an American businesswoman and a daughter of Donald J. Trump , who served as United States president from 2017 to 2021. In 2017, Ivanka Trump became an adviser in her father’s presidential administration.
Ivana Marie Trump was born on October 30, 1981, in New York City , New York. Her parents, Donald and Ivana Trump, called her Ivanka. As a teenager, she worked as a model. In 1997, she co-hosted the Miss Teen USA Pageant owned by her father. She attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with an economics degree in 2004. Ivanka Trump married Jared Kushner , a real estate developer, in 2009. The couple have three children.
Ivanka worked for a real estate company before joining the Trump Organization, her family’s business, in 2005. She later worked closely, with her brothers Donald, Jr., and Eric, in starting the Trump Hotel Collection. The company manages a number of luxury hotels. Ivanka and her brothers each made appearances as a judge on their father’s reality television series “The Apprentice,” which he hosted from 2004 to 2015. Ivanka wrote the books The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life (2009) and Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success (2017). In 2007, she founded the Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry Collection. She later helped start fashion lines in such categories as clothing, fragrances, handbags, and footwear.
Ivanka was serving as a vice president of the Trump Organization when her father won election as U.S. president in 2016. Following her father’s inauguration in 2017, she joined his administration as an adviser. She announced that she would take no salary for the work. Her husband also took on the role of senior White House adviser.
