Hulk is a comic-book superhero known for his huge size, astounding strength, and green skin. The Hulk is the alter ego (other identity) of the nuclear physicist Bruce Banner. Banner unwillingly transforms into the Hulk when he becomes excited or upset. For this reason, Banner struggles to control his emotions and remain calm. When Banner turns into the Hulk, his muscles grow large, his skin turns green, and his body becomes much bulkier. The Hulk is powered by rage, and he grows stronger as he gets angrier. The Hulk is almost unstoppable. He is immune to most injury and heals quickly. He can also leap great distances. The Hulk’s thoughts are clouded by anger, and he generally speaks in simple, broken sentences. At times, however, he manages to harness Banner’s intelligence and speech. The Hulk is among the most popular heroes created by the company Marvel Comics .
According to the comic, the Hulk was created when Banner was working for the United States military on an experimental bomb. A teenager named Rick Jones wandered onto the testing site, and Banner raced to the rescue. He managed to save Jones, but radiation from the test turned Banner into the Hulk. Jones befriended the Hulk and managed to calm the monster enough to turn him back into Banner.
The Hulk usually fights for good, but he sometimes becomes blinded by rage and battles against his allies. Among the more famous villains the Hulk has fought is the evil mastermind known as the Leader.
