Boyce, Cameron (1999-2019), was an American actor and dancer. He was best known for his roles in television programs on the Disney Channel. Boyce’s career was cut short when he died at the age of 20 due to complications from epilepsy .
Cameron Mica Boyce was born on May 28, 1999, in Los Angeles , California. He began his career as an entertainer at an early age. In 2008, Boyce starred in the music video “That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)” by the pop-rock band Panic! At the Disco. The same year, Boyce made his television debut as the character Michael “Stone” Cates, Jr., on the soap opera “General Hospital: Night Shift” (2007-2008).
Boyce’s first role in a feature-length motion picture was in the horror film Mirrors (2008). He played Michael “Mikey” Carson, the son of the film’s main character. Boyce then starred in such movies as the spy film Eagle Eye (2008) and the comedy Grown Ups (2010).
From 2011 to 2015, Boyce starred as Luke Ross on the popular television program “Jessie” on the Disney Channel. The program was about a nanny named Jessie Prescott who cared for the children of a celebrity couple. Boyce played the second-oldest child. Boyce also became well known as the character Carlos de Vil in the “Descendants” series of fantasy films (2015-2019). The films feature the children of villains made popular in Walt Disney movies. Boyce also provided the voice of Carlos de Vil on the animated television series “Descendants: Wicked World” (2015-2017).
Boyce was a talented dancer as well as an actor. He appeared on the web series “The LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers” (2010-2011). In 2017, Boyce appeared on a special episode of the TV reality program “Dancing with the Stars.” Boyce died on July 6, 2019, in Los Angeles.
