Rae, Addison (2000-…), is an American actress, dancer, singer, and social media personality. She became widely known after posting videos of herself dancing on TikTok in 2019. TikTok is a social media service for sharing videos. Rae regularly posts videos of herself dancing and lip-syncing, a style of performance in which the performer’s mouth moves in time with a recorded musical track. She has gained millions of followers. 
Addison Rae Easterling was born on Oct. 6, 2000, in Lafayette, Louisiana. She is the oldest of three children. Her parents divorced when she was growing up, and the family moved around from Baton Rouge and Shreveport, both in Louisiana, to Houston, Texas. She began dancing at age 6. Her parents remarried in 2017. Rae graduated from Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport in 2019. After high school, she enrolled at Louisiana State University (LSU), where she planned to study sports journalism. She joined TikTok in July 2019 and quickly gained millions of followers. After three months at LSU, she left to pursue a career in social media and acting, moving to Los Angeles, California. Her parents and two younger brothers moved to Los Angeles with her and also post videos on TikTok.
Rae joined other social media personalities at Hype House, a house in Los Angeles where TikTok stars create videos together. She became one of the most followed users on TikTok in 2020. She has also posted on YouTube, Instagram, and X (formerly called Twitter). She created a makeup line called ITEM Beauty.
Rae released her debut single, “Obsessed,” in March 2021. She made her motion-picture debut in He’s All That (2021).
