Kyrgios, Nick (1995-…), is an Australian tennis player. Kyrgios is known for his powerful serve and unconventional style of play. His serve has been ranked by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) as one of the best in the history of the sport.
Kyrgios won his first grand slam match in the boys’ singles tournament at the 2013 French Open. In 2016, he won his first ATP title at the Open 13 tournament in Marseilles. He won his second title the same year at the Atlanta Open in the United States. Kyrgios won his third title that year—and his first ATP Tour 500 series title—at the 2016 Japan Open in Tokyo. His next singles title win came in 2018, when he won the Brisbane International in Australia. In 2022, Kyrgios won his first grand slam doubles title at the Australian Open with Thanasi Kokkinakis, also of Australia.
Kyrgios has also been credited with helping to popularize the underarm serve. He first used the serve in competition at the 2019 Mexican Open.
